Number of functions and days — a roka-to-reception week is a different production than a single evening. Team size — covering both families across two venues needs more people than a single mandap. Film complexity — a teaser plus highlight plus feature edit is weeks of post-production. Travel — outstation and destination weddings add logistics. Deliverables — album count, print sizes, raw-footage requests.
Questions to ask any photographer before booking
Who exactly will shoot my wedding — the person I met, or a freelance crew? Can I see one complete wedding gallery, not a highlights reel? What is the delivery timeline in writing? What happens if a camera fails — do you carry backups? Is travel included or extra? How many revisions on the film?
Red flags
Prices that undercut the market by half usually mean freelancers assembled the week before, no backups, and a gallery that arrives in eight months — or never. A studio unwilling to show full weddings, sign a contract, or put timelines in writing is telling you something.
